Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and Mexican star Barbara Mori's action-romance Kites has become the first Bollywood film to debut in the North American top ten on opening weekend flying into the number ten spot. 
Released by Reliance Big Pictures, the Rakesh Roshan-produced film grossed an estimated USD 1 million for the period of May 21-23, ranking just behind the ninth-place film How to Train Your Dragon which has grossed over USD 210 million.
Directed by Anurag Basu, Kites has been praised by US film critics and has generated the most number of mainstream reviews ever for a Bollywood film on opening day.
It has earned an exceptionally high 85 percent score on RottenTomatoes.com, a popular film review aggregator website in US. 
In India, Kites soared to the second biggest opening day gross in history trailing only 3 Idiots. In addition, the film has opened at number five at the UK box office. 
This Friday, on May 28, an international version of the film titled Kites- The Remix will open in select theaters in US.
It is presented by Hollywood filmmaker Brett Ratner, focuses more on the action and runs 90 minutes in length.
Some theaters across North America will be playing both versions simultaneously giving fans a choice in their viewing experience.

'Twilight' Star Ashley Greene Offered Lead Role In 'Scream 4'
MTV reports: " Greene will join Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette in sequel. After years spent as a supporting player in the "Twilight" universe, Ashley Greene might be poised for breakout star status in Hollywood. She recently wrapped a starring role in "The Apparition" opposite Sebastian Stan ("Gossip Girl") and Tom Felton ("Harry Potter"), and now she's looking to step into a lead part in "Scream 4." Greene's rep confirmed to MTV News that the 23-year-old actress has been offered the starring role, joining returning stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. The news was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Greene would play Campbell's cousin, who is being established as the franchise's new heroine for both "Scream 4" and future installments of the horror series. Additionally, Lake Bell is said to be in negotiations for a starring role, while Hayden Panettiere ("Heroes") and Rory Culkin ("Signs") have been offered parts. Panettiere would play Greene's best friend, and Culkin would play Greene's love interest. With "Scream 4" coming more than a decade after its predecessor, Campbell originally bowed out of the production, declining to reprise her role as Sid, the unfortunate girl who's always on the run from the Ghostface Killer. Campbell's decision forced franchise creator Kevin Williamson to go back to the drawing board. But the actress eventually reconsidered, Wes Craven signed on to direct and the film will hit theaters in April 2011. "We have fun with the idea of endless sequels, or 'sequelitis' as Kevin calls it in the script," Craven said recently of the upcoming movie. "Sid goes through these three horrendous things, and 'Stab' was based on those horrible things. And then they've been taken by a studio and run into the ground in a series of sequels. She has been off by herself and living her own life, and she's even written a book that has gotten a lot of critical acclaim. She's kind of put her life back together in the course of these 10 years. But, certainly, there would be no 'Scream' without Ghostface, so she has to confront him again, but now as a woman who has really come out the darkness of her past."
 Katy Perry To Perform At 2010 MTV Movie Awards
MTV reports: " Pop star will sing 'California Gurls' at the show, airing live on June 6 at 9 p.m. ET.The last time Katy Perry performed at an MTV awards show, things worked out pretty well. At the VMAs in September, she busted out a bone-shaking rendition of Queen's "We Will Rock You" to open to the evening. Then she fell for — and got engaged to — VMA host Russell Brand. Is it any surprise that she wants to do it all over again? Perry is set to perform live at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on June 6. The singer will play "California Gurls," the first single off her upcoming album, Teenage Dream. She joins previously announced performer Christina Aguilera at this year's show. Janet Jackson Debuts Super-Short Hair CutJanet Jackson chopped off her locks and debuted a new super-short haircut. She is currently promoting her movie 'Why Did I Get Married Too?' and was snapped leaving London's Cecconi restaurant with the much shorter 'do. Perhaps the 43-year-old singer-actress decided to change up her style because of the new man in her life, wealthy Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana. While the couple have not confirmed that they're dating, the pair were spotted dining together at Italian restaurant Cecconi's in Mayfair and Nobu Berkeley. Jackson is in London promoting her new movie, the filming of which was halted last summer when Janet's older brother Michael Jackson died suddenly at age 50 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his Beverly Hills home. Jackson split from her long-time boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, last summer after a seven-year relationship. Dupri, who co-produced her '20 Y.O.' album, left his position as head of urban music at Virgin Records following the "disappointing performance" of Jackson's album. Megan Fox Says She Chose To Leave "Transformers 3"
Megan Fox says she wasn't dropped from "Transformers 3."
It was reported earlier Wednesday (May 19) that the actress, who starred in the first two installments of the "Transformers" franchise, wouldn't be cast in the third picture, set to shoot this summer. A rep for Paramount confirmed to MTV News that the studio didn't renew Fox's option.
Now, Fox is saying it was she who opted out.
"Megan Fox will not be starring in 'Transformers 3,' " reps for the actress, 24, told People magazine. "It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best."
Fox and Michael Bay famously exchanged heated words around the release of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" last summer, with the actress comparing the director to Hitler and the director saying the actress "still has a lot of growing up to do."
Despite their contentious relationship, the pair seemed set to reunite this summer for a third "Transformers" flick. But Deadline.com broke the story earlier today that Paramount had declined to pick up Fox's contractual option for "Transformers 3" and that giving star Shia LaBeouf a "new love interest makes more sense for the story," according to an unnamed source.
Fox's next project, "Jonah Hex," will be released June 18; it's an action film also starring Josh Brolin, John Malkovich and Will Arnett.
"Transformers 3" is set to hit theaters July 2011.

(WIREUPDATE) – Nicki Minaj sex tape video is being shopped around. The video was supposedly recorded several years ago before Minaj became the public figure she is now, and it shows a younger version of the rapper.
The video has been seen by the Mediatakeout.com website, which posted details, stating that they had seen it, and saying it was explicit, graphic, and full of all sorts of freaky stuff. According to blog.zap2it.com, the video is reportedly on sale for $100,000.
Minaj began her career as a backup singer in 2004, until she was discovered on MySpace by Dirty Money CEO Fendi, who signed her to that label. She was later contacted by Lil Wayne after appearing on “The Carter Edition” of Young Money’s The Come Up DVD series.  Rima Fakih of Michigan wins Miss USA 2010LAS VEGAS — A 24-year-old Arab American from Michigan beat out 50 other women to take the 2010 Miss USA title Sunday night, despite nearly stumbling in her evening gown. Rima Fakih of Dearborn, Mich., won the pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip after strutting confidently in an orange and gold bikini, wearing a strapless white gown that resembled a wedding dress and saying health insurance should cover birth control pills. When asked how she felt about winning the crown, she said, "Ask me after I've had a pizza." Fakih, a Lebanese immigrant, told pageant organizers her family celebrates both Muslim and Christian faiths. She moved to the United States as a baby and was raised in New York, where she attended a Catholic school. Her family moved to Michigan in 2003. Pageant officials said historical pageant records were not detailed enough to show whether Fakih was the first Arab American, Muslim or immigrant to win the Miss USA title. The pageant started in 1952 as a local bathing suit competition in Long Beach, Calif. Fakih told reporters she sold her car after graduating college in Michigan to help pay for her run in the Miss Michigan USA pageant. She said she believed she had the title on Sunday after glancing at pageant owner Donald Trump as she awaited the results with the first runner-up, Miss Oklahoma USA Morgan Elizabeth Woolard.
