(HMG Celebrity News) – In what’s setting up to be a very contentious divorce, Tony Parker has filed his own divorce petition against Eva Longoria in Texas.
The divorce battle between Parker and Longoria reportedly began when the actress discovered hundreds of flirty texts between her husband and Erin Barry, wife of former teammate Brent Barry. At that moment Eva reportedly knew the marriage was over.
Tony filed his papers in Texas probably because he plays basketball for the San Antonio Spurs, and because Texas processes divorces in as little as 60 days. Eva filed for divorce earlier in the week in Los Angeles, CA., setting up a legal battle over where the case will be heard.
Instead of the usual “irreconcilable differences” that Eva used, Tony got a bit more specific saying the reason for the divorce according to TMZ: “The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationships and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
Tony’s papers state, “Petitioner believes Petitioner and Respondent will enter into an agreement for the division of their estate.” This wording may indicate that Tony’s legal team could be preparing to fight the prenup agreement the couple previously signed, meaning their could be a battle brewing over the couple’s estate.
